ATS is an applicant tracking system used by recruiters and HR to track an applicant across various hiring check-points. These vary based on implementation. Some companies have custom ATS and others are using ATS providers. These may have deep embedding with a company's HR systems.

The ATS industry is a billion dollar industry. There has been a lot of unresolved speculation about the exact role of ATS systems in hiring. Job seekers have noticed concerning implementations that maybe exercising bias in hiring. There are also a lot of errors in parsing well formatted resumes on some sites and complaints have been heard from job seekers, recruiters and hiring managers.

I am both a job seeker and a technical  problem solver . This combination makes it impossible for me to ignore the broken systems ( some have remained unfixed for 10 years per some reports) . I am gathering all observed errors from a candidate perspective and will do a similar research with recruiters and hiring managers, HR etc. with an aim to provide solutions that work

Possibly. At any given time any number of people may be working on solution for the same thing. However the fact that some of these things have not been fixed in 10 years gives me hope that my solutions won't be too late to market

As mentioned earlier, I am in midst of assessing the state of affairs in a 360 degree manner. I have however recently published a different solution to broken resume parsing by using explicit, structured resume templates and demo'd my solution. It was seemingly well-received as some startups and mid-tier companies started adding structured resumes to their "coming features" list since then.
